]]> Spook-tacular stay and play with Alton Care home http://www.stgeorgesnursery.com/spook-tacular-stay-and-play-with-alton-care-home/ Tue, 05 Nov 2019 14:28:27 +0000 http://www.stgeorgesnursery.com/?p=6143 Our pre-school children at Grace Road had some lovely visitors from the Alton care home- next door to our nursery on Thursday 31st November 19 where we had a spook-tacular Halloween themed stay and play. Some of the children dressed up in their very creative costumes, we all decorated biscuits, make insects out of the coloured playdough, painted pumpkins, splashed around in the glitter and google eyes in the water and even had some yummy Halloween cupcakes that we ate at tea time and gave out for the elderly to take back to the care home to enjoy. Thank you all so much for the joyous afternoon that we all spent together, the interaction and care shown between our wonderful children and the elderly was truly beautiful, one of the residents even asked if they could come back over the Christmas period.

]]> Police visit http://www.stgeorgesnursery.com/police-visit/ Fri, 27 Sep 2019 12:16:12 +0000 http://www.stgeorgesnursery.com/?p=6103 Last week at Grace Road we had a special visit from two lovely police ladies; we spoke about the police car- their flashing lights and their sirens, we got to try on the police hat and Hi-viz vest, we looked at the equipment that the police carry in the back of their cars such as- emergency cones and torches. Then we had a little chat about how the police help us, the children thoroughly enjoyed this visit and we would like to say a big thank you for making time in your busy day to come out and see us all.

We are all enjoying getting to know each other and having lots of fun with all the creative experiences that we gain whilst at nursery. We still have spaces for 0-2’s, 2-3’s and 3-5’s so please require within management for further information.

This week the pre-school children at Grace Rd have enjoyed water play where they have been fishing with tweezers trying to catch sweetcorn fish. The children have shown their hand to eye co-ordination in trying to catch the sweetcorn and have been telling their mummy’s and daddy’s they have been fishing.
