Requirements for a Level 2/3 Practitioner
This is a perfect opportunity for someone with real passion for childcare who is looking to work within our professional organisation. The role is to assist the Nursery Manager and the team to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education and go home with a smile on their face.
Essentials
• NNEB/NVQ2 or 3/Btec
• You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children’s development records.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
• Empathy
• Friendly
• Caring nature
• Organisational skills
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with children, parents and staff

Desirables

• Paediatric First Aid preferred but not essential as appropriate training will be given
• SEN experience
• Car Driver
• Food hygiene
• Safeguarding certificate
• DBS enhanced and on the update service
• Experience of working in a childcare setting
• IT skills as tablet work is required

Responsibilities
• Be responsible for a group of key children, liaising closely with parents/carers to ensure individual needs are met
• Be responsible for observing and using the EYFS to monitor key children’s progress and development
• To actively promote and support the Safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults in the workplace by providing a safe and secure environment
• Ensure the settings policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Attend and participate in any further training programmes to upskill and improve your learning
• Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop and flourish
• Working in partnership with other professionals to ensure all individual needs are met and all children are able to reach their full potential.

• Building and maintaining the attachments with children developing effective relationships with parents, carers and staff

• Hours: Full time position, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30 am to 6.00 pm at our Oadby and Narborough sites
